Our alignment solution is two-fold. Firstly, our aligners work by applying pressure gently over time on misaligned teeth to gradually bring them to the correct arch-form.
Secondly, they train the muscles of your mouth and jaw to hold proper posture at rest. This corrects the underlying issues that are so often the cause of misalignments. This also prevents the teeth from becoming misaligned once again in the future.

This varies between individuals and depends on your personal case. The overall treatment time, depending on the misalignment severity, can take up to and over 1 year. This may seem like a long process, however, it is necessary by the nature of the issue and to ensure that the underlying causes, namely poor oral posture and habits, are corrected to prevent relapse.
You can wear your aligners overnight but you may wake up in the morning to find them next to you!

- 1 x Secret Smile™ Phase 1 Soft Aligner - to allow your teeth to adjust.
- 1 x Secret Smile™ Phase 2 Hard Aligner - to give the best alignment.
- 2 x Aligner Trays - to store each of your aligners.
- Give the aligners a wash before and after use. Room temperature water is fine.
- Begin with your softer Phase 1 aligner - the ends will be able to touch if you gently squeeze them together.
- Place the aligner in your mouth with the tongue tag being on the top. Keep lips together.
- Wear your aligner for 1-6 hours per day - this can be done over a number of sessions. Eg. 2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the evening.
- Assume correct posture by keeping your tongue in contact with the tongue tag.
- You can progress to the harder Phase 2 aligner after 2 months of daily Phase 1 use or when you feel Phase 1 is not applying ample pressure anymore. We still recommend using Phase 1 for at least one month to allow your mouth & teeth to adjust to the process.
- Store the aligner in its box and keep it in a cool, dry place when not in use.
Many of our customers begin to see results within one to two months. After the first week of use, your teeth may feel sore. This is normal as your mouth is adjusting to the new alignment. Persistence is key - the longer you wear them the shorter the alignment process will be, however, you must allow your mouth & jaw muscles time to recover.
If you experience unusual pain, stop using the aligners for a couple of days to allow for recovery time. If pain continues, please consult your medical professional.
